About Us

Hi, we are Chris & Becky! We’ve been married since 1995 and have two awesome kids! Becky has always enjoyed rustic, and primitive items, however, some of the prices are just simply outrageous. We started Beyond Country because we were tired of paying those outrageous prices for items that we liked.  We found that making the items was a lot cheaper.

I had never thought of myself has a builder. I just never had the patience. Now, though, I love it. Taking the time to build something that others may enjoy and use, and even pass down to someone else, it’s heartwarming.

We also enjoy working together and creating items that we know others will enjoy. Each item is unique and no one item is 100% alike.  99% items are handmade, (unfortunately not every decoration can be handmade) we also try to use the oldest, imperfect wood we can. Why? Because that makes the most perfect rustic or primitive item. There are items, however, that we can’t use old wood, and when that happens we still look for the most unperfected wood to give it that unique feel.
